and path elements that build specialized shapes.
(The sun moves along an elliptical path created with path element ArcTo.)
The lighting is controlled by three factors:

The azimuth of the lighting effect on the land changes as the sun moves (the azimuth is the angle of
a distant light source).

The redness varies with the sun movement.

The darkness varies with the sun movement.
These values are controlled with a timeline.
